Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 26, 2026
DoughLab (“DoughLab,” “MyDoughLab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools that help home pizza makers create recipes, record bakes, track results, and improve future bakes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the DoughLab mobile application, the MyDoughLab.com website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect information needed to create and manage that account, such as your email address, account identifier, and authentication information. Passwords are handled through secure authentication services and are not stored in plain text.
Recipes, bake history, and other content
We collect the information you choose to enter into DoughLab, including recipes, ingredients, dough settings, fermentation details, oven information, bake dates, ratings, notes, and other pizza-making records.
Photos and camera access
When you choose to add a photo, DoughLab may request access to your device’s camera or photo library. We use that access only to let you select, capture, upload, display, and manage the photos associated with your recipes or bakes. DoughLab does not access photos you do not choose to provide.
Technical and usage information
We may automatically collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. This may include device type, operating system, browser or app version, IP address, authentication activity, diagnostic information, crash data, performance data, and interactions with Service features.
Cookies and local storage
The website and mobile application may use cookies, authentication tokens, secure device storage, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect your account, and provide core Service functionality.
How We Use Information
We use information collected through the Service to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
- Save, synchronize, display, and manage your recipes and bake history.
- Allow you to upload and view recipe and bake photos.
- Calculate and display statistics, ratings, and other DoughLab features.
- Provide customer support and respond to account requests.
- Monitor reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third-party advertisers for targeted advertising.
We may disclose information to service providers that process data on our behalf and help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, database, file storage, security, authentication, email, monitoring, and diagnostic providers. These providers may use the information only to perform services for DoughLab and are expected to protect it.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; protect the rights, safety, and security of users, DoughLab, or others; investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or complete a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
If you voluntarily use a community or sharing feature, information and content you choose to post may be visible to other users. Review content carefully before sharing it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include secure authentication, encrypted network connections, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Data Retention
We generally retain account information and user-created content while your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited information longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or enforcement of our agreements.
Information removed from active systems may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted through the normal backup cycle. Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
Account and Data Deletion
You may delete your DoughLab account by using the Delete Account option provided in the mobile application. Deleting your account is intended to remove the account and the personal data associated with it, including your recipes, bake history, notes, ratings, and uploaded photos, subject to the limited retention exceptions described above.
You can also delete your account from a web browser by visiting the DoughLab account-deletion page. That public page explains the deletion process, the types of data removed, and the limited circumstances in which information may be retained.
If you need assistance, email support@mydoughlab.com with the subject “DoughLab Account Deletion Request.” Send the request from the email address associated with your DoughLab account so we can verify ownership. Do not send your password.
We may contact you for reasonable verification before completing a deletion request. Once verified, we will process the request within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable requirements.
Your Choices
You may review and update available account information through the Service. You may choose not to upload photos, and you can manage camera or photo-library permissions through your device settings. You may sign out at any time and may request account deletion as described above.
Children’s Privacy
DoughLab is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and DoughLab is not responsible for those third-party practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, features, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when appropriate.
